Join us for a special 10km walk along Route 1 of Cape Camino on Saturday 17 October 2026. Explore the beautiful Riebeek Valley on foot, with good coffee, fine wines, and plenty to discover.

We’ll walk through vineyards, olive groves and a game park before making our way into Riebeek Kasteel, stopping along the way to meet local people, explore shops and galleries, and enjoy a few delicious treats.

We’ll finish at Riebeek Valley Wines before heading back to Meerhof for those staying on for lunch and wine tasting.

Community Walk Itinerary | 10km | Saturday 17 October 2026

8:00am | Meerhof Wines

Arrive for coffee and a breakfast roll. We’ll explain how your Cape Camino passport works before setting off.

8:30am | Kloovenburg

Meet your Kloovenburg chaperones and begin the walk through vineyards, olive groves and the game park, finishing at Kloovenburg reception before continuing into Riebeek Kasteel village.

10:00am | Riebeek Kasteel

Meet Shawn Hewitt from Riebeek Valley Tours & Transfers, who will join us as our local chaperone and guide us through the village.

Enjoy a complimentary hot drink from Beans About Coffee, with thanks to Yvette Jamneck. We’ll also stop for delicious panipuri from JAM, thanks to chef and owner Sarel.

Both stops will give you the opportunity to add another stamp to your Cape Camino passport.

Shawn will then take us along Short Street to explore some of the interesting shops and galleries, with a special little surprise from Ancient Spirit along the way.

Riebeek Valley Wines

We’ll make our way to Riebeek Valley Wines for a welcome drink before returning to Meerhof.

Meerhof Wines

Transport back to Meerhof will be provided, where those staying for lunch can enjoy lunch and a complimentary wine tasting.
