I appreciate all the arrangements the Cape Camino did behind the scenes. From the delivery of the Tshirt via courier in the most remote areas, to the heart welcoming hosts, . They open their homes to me, plan and prepare the most delicious meals and lunch packs as I traveled. I had lovely conversations with all of them, they send me off as a friend. I am grateful for Cape Camino's platform, giving me the opportunity and safe space to travel our country. It was well organized and the hosts on route took their part seriously. My safety & comfort were top priority.. I love the freedom and flexibility of each hosts, therefore Im not in a position to suggest improvements or amendments. Each pilgrims will walk on their own pace - as I did. My pilgrimage was perfect. I met wonderful people, I thank the chaperones for their company. I am SATISFIED!!. Well done to your crew, each host, each chaperones and the space you created.

We are a group of women who did not know one another before we started walking. One Artist, one choreographer, one tutor/ librarian/granny and one business owner/ reflexologist. We have very different backgrounds and lives but have found a common love and commitment to walking. We range in age from 57 to 63 years old and have been walking in this group for almost 5 years. We met at a walking franchise and when that closed during covid we set our on our own. We realised it was much more fun to choose our own routes and we could spend much more time in the greenbelts and on the mountain. Our name is simply what we all feel about walking. Walk4Joy! We meet 3 times a week and solve the world's problems. Always with a cup of coffee at our favourite Chardonnay deli. When we walk 15 km plus we take our kettle and home baked treats to enjoy out in nature. The Cape Camino represented a challenge for us, taking the time just for ourselves, pushing the limit in terms of mileage as well as spending a longer petiod of time together. We have gained so much from our Camino walks in terms of confidence in our own abilities, learning to trust the unknown and of course meeting and living with new and different families. We aim to walk as much as we can, for as long as we can taking in all the blessings that nature has to offer and spreading that love and joy in our everyday lives.
