Please read our Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy carefully before making a booking, as it forms part of this agreement.

Cape Camino is not a guided tour and is not a fully supported hike in the traditional sense. Our role is to coordinate logistics – including accommodation bookings, route structure, and where applicable, registered chaperones – but the walking itself is undertaken independently and entirely at your own responsibility.

Pilgrims are expected to prepare adequately before departure. This includes researching terrain, distances, elevation profiles, weather patterns, seasonal conditions, remoteness, required fitness levels, and the realities of walking in rural, agricultural, coastal, and occasionally urban environments. Sections of the route may include gravel roads, sand, steep inclines, uneven terrain, limited facilities, working farms, wildlife areas, water crossings, and exposure to rapidly changing weather conditions.

This is a rural, community-rooted pilgrimage that exists because of the cooperation and generosity of farmers, hosts, small towns, and local families. Services are not uniform throughout the route. Accommodation varies in style, standard, and simplicity depending on the region. Food availability, shop access, and facilities may be limited in certain areas. Pilgrims must follow their individual itinerary carefully and understand exactly what is included in their booking.

Participants acknowledge and accept that:

Walking long distances carries inherent physical risks, including injury, dehydration, fatigue, illness, and environmental exposure.

Medical facilities may not be immediately accessible in remote sections of the route.

Weather conditions may affect walking plans and may require adjustments.

Hosts, services, or route directions may change due to availability, safety considerations, or unforeseen circumstances.

We work with independent third-party accommodation providers, transport operators, and service partners, and cannot be held liable for their acts or omissions.

Pilgrims are responsible for their own physical readiness, decision-making, pacing, hydration, navigation, and daily time management. Choosing to take rest days, skip sections, or arrange alternative transport remains the pilgrim’s responsibility unless otherwise agreed in writing.

All pilgrims are required to sign an indemnity form prior to departure. By participating, you acknowledge and accept full responsibility for your personal safety, physical condition, conduct, belongings, and any injury, loss, delay, cancellation, or damage that may occur before, during, or after your Camino.

Comprehensive travel and medical insurance is strongly recommended.

We reserve the right to make route adjustments, modify accommodation where necessary, require chaperones when deemed appropriate, enforce conduct standards, or decline or terminate participation if safety, preparedness, health, or behavioural expectations are not met.

Your Camino is yours to walk. We provide the framework and coordination – you carry the responsibility and the journey.
