Route 7 of Cape Camino follows the Hoerikwaggo Way, a multi-day walking route around Table Mountain and the southern Cape Peninsula. The name “Hoerikwaggo” originates from the Indigenous Khoi word meaning “mountain in the sea,” reflecting the deep cultural and spiritual significance of this landscape. This 4-day pilgrimage begins in Hout Bay and follows mountain paths, coastal trails and protected reserve areas toward Cape Point. Daily distances range from approximately 9km to 25km, with terrain that includes beach stretches, rocky ascents and sections within national park boundaries.
The Hoerikwaggo Way Camino passes through Kommetjie and Scarborough, offering expansive ocean views, fynbos landscapes and rich Indigenous heritage. This route is physically demanding due to elevation changes and longer distances, and includes a local chaperone for navigation and safety. Route 7 is ideal for pilgrims seeking a wilder, mountain-to-ocean walking experience within the Cape Town region and can be booked as a standalone Camino or as part of the broader Cape Camino Peninsula journey.
All cancellations are subject to a 5% administration fee, regardless of notice period. This fee covers planning, coordination, and administrative work already undertaken.
60 days or more prior to departure: 95% refund (5% admin fee retained)
Between 60 and 30 days prior: 90% refund
Between 30 and 14 days prior: 30% refund
14 days or less prior to departure: No refund
Please note: Peninsula route accommodation requires full upfront payment to secure bookings. For these routes, the standard refund policy may not apply and refunds are subject to host terms.

Between 60 and 14 days prior: 10% rescheduling fee
14 days or less prior to departure: No rescheduling and no refund
Rescheduling is permitted within the same calendar year, subject to availability.
